Raymond of N. Easton formerly of Brockton,June 23, 2005, A. Kenneth Raymond, 87 years. Husband of the late Rosalie M. (Wells) Raymond. Father of Kathleen A. Lucini and her husband Albert of Middleboro, Ellen F. Raymond of Brockton, Kenneth J. Raymond and his wife Candice of Middleboro, John E. Raymond of Marion, Jeannie M. Kruja of W. Bridgewater. Grandfather of Michelle Hardiman, Kelly Lucini and Skender Kruja. Great grandfather of Stephanie and Sarah Hardiman.
Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Monday at 9 am. Funeral Mass in Holy Cross Church, S. Easton at 10 am. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, W. Bridgewater. Visiting hours Sunday 4-7 pm.
Mr. Raymond died Thursday evening at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center, Brockton. Born in Brockton, son of the late Granville and Catherine (Reardon) Raymond. Mr. Raymond was a resident of Brockton until moving to Easton seven years ago. He served in the Navy during WW II. Former member of The Knights of Columbus in Brockton. He was a communicant of the former St. Margaret Church in Brockton for most of his life before moving to Easton. He was a self employed painter contractor for nearly fifty years and still could be found painting for family and close friends until his health prevented him from enjoying his craft.
Ken enjoyed bowling; traveling throughout Massachusetts and New York where he bowled in many candlepin tournaments.
Mr. Raymond loved the Boston Red Sox and could claim to have lived through their winning two World Series.
He also enjoyed spending time in Cape Cod and most of all his family.
He is also survived by two brothers, Milton J. "Red" Raymond of W. Bridgewater, John Raymond of Baltimore, MD and several nieces and nephews.
Brother of the late Ruth F. Weildlich and Richard Raymond.
