Online Obituaries Abel M. Rodrigues, 90, of Brockton died Sunday, October 12, 2014 at home under the care of his family and hospice. He was the husband of Maria S. (Santos) Rodrigues. Born December 11, 1923 in Brava, Cape Verde, he was a son of the late Marcelino Rodrigues and Maria (Jose) Rodrigues. Abel worked as a supervisor for a construction company for many years. Mr. Rodrigues was a musician, he also enjoyed playing cards, taking care of animals, and fishing. He is survived by his wife Maria S. (Santos) Rodrigues; his children, Ana Rebeiro, Maria Jose Rodrigues, Autilia Lima, Palmira Goncalves, Emilia Lima, Candida Lima, Lucia Sequeira, Antonio Rodrigues, Rosa Rodrigues, Carlos Rodrigues, Julia Rodrigues, and Joao Rodrigues. He is also survived by his 50 grandchildren, his many great-grandchildren, and great-great- grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Francisco Rodrigues. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell & Pica Funeral Home on Thursday, October 16th at 9:00AM followed by a funeral mass in St. Edith Stein/St. Edward Parish, 71 East Main St., Brockton, at 10:00AM.
