Online Obituaries Adelaide (Almeida) DeCosta, 93, of Brockton, passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at the Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Manuel DeCosta. Born September 13, 1921 in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Antonio Almeida and Emily (Amaral) Almeida. Adelaide was a retired Office Manager at Almeida Office Supply in Brockton for over 30 years. She formerly worked at Barbour Welt Company during World War II. She was a member of the Portuguese Continental Union and a member of the Brockton Senior Citizens. She was devoted to her family and loved to travel. She is survived by her son, Thomas DeCosta of Brockton; her brother, Anthony Almeida of FL; she is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Marie Carvalho, Edward Almeida and Beatrice Martin. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Tuesday at 8:00AM thence to Christ the King Parish, 42 Wendell Ave., Brockton where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of her soul at 9:00AM.
