Born February 9, 1916 in Fogo, Cape Verde, she was the daughter of the late Jose Xavier and Maria Goncalves. She is survived by her children, Maria Galvao, Aldivina Goncalves, Alina Fernandes, Otelio Goncalves and Ana Fernandes.
