Adeline R. (Uto) Siciliano
, 95, of Brockton passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family after a short illness on December 30, 2011 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton.
Born March 4, 1916 in Brockton, she was the devoted wife of the late Samuel L. Siciliano for 50 years; daughter of the late Anthony and Mary Uto.
Adeline was devoted to her family and her most enjoyable times were when they were all together.
A lifelong resident of Brockton, Adeline worked for the Brockton School Department as a teacher's aide at the B.B. Russell School and the Adult Learning Center. She was proud to have helped Marvin Hagler earn his GED. She will be fondly remembered by her family and friends for her infamous "B.B. Russell School Song" that she composed and performed at the school and family functions.
In earlier years she worked at Edgar's Department Store in Brockton and enjoyed bowling, dancing and attending Broadway shows. After retiring she and Sam enjoyed traveling, especially to Europe and Hawaii.
Adeline was recently a resident at the Copley Nursing Home in Stoughton. She was known for creating beautiful needlepoints over the years and enjoyed displaying them in her room with her favorite doll collection and pictures of her family. She would boast that she had the nicest room at the Copley, which she fondly referred to as "The Copley Plaza." She enjoyed all the activities and the new friends that she made during her stay.
She is survived by her children, Richard Siciliano and his wife Kimberly of N.Y., Deborah Dahlquist and her husband Edward and Nanci Mills and her husband Kevin, all of Brockton. She also leaves her grandchildren, Lisa Dahlquist, Eric Dahlquist and his wife Lindsay, Christopher Mills and Michael Mills; her great grandson, Alberto "Boo" Velasquez and her sister-in-law, Elba Uto. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Joseph, Olive and Matthew Uto.

A prayer service will be held in the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Friday, January 6th at 10:30AM. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours in the Russell Pica Funeral Home Thursday, January 5 from 4:00-7:00PM.
