Vreeland of Brockton November 7, 2005 Adeline F. (Mikenas) Vreeland 84 years. Wife of the late John Vreeland. Mother of John Vreeland of Tampa, FL; Peter Vreeland of Yarmouth; Joel Vreeland of Delray Beach, FL and Deidre Whittemore of West Harwich.
Memorial visitation in the Conley Funeral and Cremation Service 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Saturday 8-10 am. Graveside service at 10:30 am in Melrose Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Adeline’s name may be made to Alzheimer’s Association 311 Arsenal St. Watertown, MA 02472.

Obituary

Mrs. Vreeland died Monday in Delray Beach, Florida. She was born April 6, 1921 in Brockton a daughter of the late John and Josephine (Miltenas) Mikenas and lived in the city for most of her life. She was a graduate of Brockton High School Class of 1939. She had worked for many years at the Brockton Post Office retiring in 1989. Following her retirement she enjoyed winters in Margate, Florida.
Mrs. Vreeland was an avid reader and in her younger years enjoyed dancing.
She was a former member of the Commercial Club in Brockton and had been actively involved with Cardinal Spellman High School Parents Association. She was a longtime communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church.
She is survived by her children John Vreeland of Tampa, FL; Peter Vreeland of Yarmouth; Joel Vreeland of Delray Beach, FL and Deidre Whittemore of West Harwich.
She also leaves 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren
