Obituary

Albert C. Carpenter, age 80, of Brockton, died May 15, 2015 at New England Sinai Hospital following a period of failing health. He was the loving husband for 59 years of Barbara A. (Stafford) Carpenter. Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Albert G. and Helen (Anderson) Carpenter. Al was raised in Jamaica Plain and Norwood and was a graduate of Norwood High School. He retired from Toplis & Harding in Boston after 39 years as an Insurance Adjuster. Al was an avid woodworker and enjoyed fishing and boating in Rhode Island.
He is also survived by his daughter Linda Rondeau and her husband David; his granddaughter Sarah Rondeau; a sister Judith Benson; three brothers Stephen Carpenter and his wife Nancy, Robert Carpenter and his wife Mary “Who”, and Charles Carpenter and his wife Pam; several additional grandchildren; one great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Allen and Scott Carpenter.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Tuesday 4-8pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home Wednesday at 11am, followed by burial in Calvary Cemetery.
