Albert Piragis, age 93, of Quincy, formerly of Lawrence, died June 3, 2011. He was the son of the late John and Frances (Karoblis) Piragis and brother of the late Richard Piragis, Anntoinette Chapman and Stella Amshy.
For many years he was employed as a Tool and Dye Maker at Watts Regulator Company in Lawrence. Throughout his life, he enjoyed many hobbies including archery, scuba diving, hang gliding, skiing, photography and painting, as well as making and flying kites. He was an avid outdoorsman and had built a log cabin in New Hampshire. Recently he taught himself to use a computer and was amazed by its possibilities.
Albert is survived by two nieces, two nephews and 13 great nieces and nephews.
A family Graveside Service will be held at a later date in St. Mary-Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Lawrence.
