Alberto Da Cruz Brandão's love for his family and friends was a cornerstone of his life, and it continues to resonate even after his passing. His legacy is a testament to the strong community bonds he fostered, a foundation that will endure beyond his lifetime. Alberto peacefully departed on June 12th, 2024, at the age of 95, surrounded by his loved ones who are committed to upholding his memory by embracing life to the fullest.

Alberto was born in Fogo, Cabo Verde, and raised by his Uncle Antonino Da Cruz. He was a friend to all and took great pride in caring for those around him. He found joy in seeing others succeed. He worked at Adega Leão in Praia to support his family and friends. He moved to the US in 2001, where he continued to support others and provide joy to the family. He was a lifelong soccer fan who enjoyed watching his favorite team, Benfica, play on the pitch.

Alberto is survived by his 10 children: Antonio Cruz, Antonia Brandão, Ana Neves, Aderito Brandão, Carlos Brandão, Carla Fernandes, Paula Brandão, Arthur Brandão, Keria Brandão, and Kevin Brandão; 30 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

The viewing will be held on Wednesday, June 19th, from 5 PM to 8 PM at Russell and Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont Street, Brockton, MA.

We will gather for the memorial service on Thursday, June 20th, at 10 AM at St. Edith Stein Roman Catholic Parish, 71 East Main Street, Brockton, MA.

Following the service, Alberto will be laid to rest at Melrose Cemetery, 88 N Pearl Street, Brockton, MA.
