Obituary

Alberto I. Da Silveira, age 96, of Brockton, died peacefully at his home October 12, 2019. Alberto was the loving husband of the late Eugenia Pires Gomes. Born, raised and educated in Fogo, Cape Verde, he was the son of the late Jose and Maria Xavier. Alberto had been a resident of Brockton for the last 20 years. He was an honest, strong, and courageous man who enjoyed reading his bible, working in his vegetable garden and long walks.

Alberto is survived by seven sons Damião, Jose, Marcelino, Manuel, Paulo, Alberto and Arnaldo Da Silveira, seven daughters Adelina, Marinha, Feliciana, Maria, Josefa, Gorete and Luisa Da Silveira, 61 grandchildren, 64 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.

Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Wednesday, October 16, 6-9pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home Thursday at 10am, followed by burial in Coweeset Cemetery.
