Alberto Fernandes, 82, of Brockton, passed away Monday, February 27, 2012 at his home in Brockton. He was the husband of Lucinda (Lopes) Fernandes. Born August 27, 1929 in Cape Verde, he was the son of the late Bernardino Fernandes and Anzolina (DaSilva) Fernandes. He is survived by his children, Maria Fernandes Rodrigues, Joao Fernandes, Domingos Fernandes, Anzolina Fernandes, Emilia Fernandes, Maria Julia Fernandes, Dimas Fernandes and Helena Fernandes; his sisters, Maria Fernandes and Clarise Monteiro; he is also survived by several nieces, nephews and grandchildren. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (RT123) Brockton on Thursday, March 1st at 9:30AM followed by a funeral mass in St. Edith Stein/St. Edward Parish, 71 East Main St., Brockton at 10:30AM.
