Alberto Gomes Alberto Gomes , 76, of Brockton passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at the Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital. He was the loving husband of Domingas (Goncalves) Gomes of Brockton. Born January 10, 1938 in Brava, Lavadura, he was the son of the late Louis and Ines (Fernandes) Gomes. He was employed at Reebok for many years from which he retired. Alberto enjoyed playing cards and most of all the time spent with his beloved family. In addition to his wife, Domingas, he is survived by his children, Joquim Gomes, Nancy Tagger, Antonio Gomes and Elizabeth Gomes; grandchildren, Jeffrey Tagger, Jr., Shawna Tagger, Jalisa Gomes, Antonio Gomes and Jack Anthony Gomes; great grandchild, Jade Tagger and his siblings, Connie Gomes, Alfred Gomes, Richard Gomes and Hilario Gomes. He was also the brother of the late Bernardo Gomes. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Monday, March 3, 2014 at 8:00AM followed by a funeral mass in St. Edith Stein/St. Edward Parish, 71 East Main St., Brockton at 9:00AM.
