Obituary

Alberto B Mascarenhas, 87, of Brockton died June 13, 2014 following a brief illness in the Good Samaritan Hospital. He is the beloved husband of Arlete (Pereira) Mascarenhas. Alberto was born and raised in Brava, Cape Verde before moving to the United States in 1963, and was the son of the late Sebastiao F. and Belmira (Feijoo) Mascarenhas.

In addition to his wife, Alberto is survived by his loving daughter and grandson Teresa Mascarenhas and Alirio Fontes of Abington; his sister Olga Faria of Brazil and many loving sister and brother in laws and nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Benvinda Mascarenhas, Virginia M. Araujo and Dinora M. Madiera, and cousin of the late Mariana Costa.

Visiting hours will be held Monday 4-8 pm in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton. A funeral procession will form at the funeral home Tuesday at 9:30 am for a funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein Parish at 10:30 am. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
