ALVES of Brockton formerly of W. Wareham August 6, 2002. Alfred Alves 82 years. Bother of Mary Alves and Julia Thatcher both of Brockton, Margaret Faria of Hyannis and the late Amelia Pina.

Funeral Service in the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Friday at 11 AM. Burial in St. Patrick Cemetery, Wareham. Visiting hours Thursday 6-9 PM.

Obituary

Mr. Alves died Tuesday evening at his home under the care of Old Colony Hospice. He was born, raised and educated in Wareham the son of the late Frank and Candida (Rose) Alves. For the past 20 years he has made his home in Brockton with Joseph and Wanda Alves.

Mr. Alves worked for many years as a foreman at the Edward Lodi Cranberry Company in Wareham.He enjoyed gardening and socializing with his family and friends

He is survived by his three sisters (as above) and three generations of nieces and nephewsHe was the brother of the late Amelia Pina

Funeral Services in the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street, Brockton Friday at 11 AM. The Rev. Timothy Vamosi of Trinity Baptist Church will officiate. Burial in St. Patrick Cemetery, Wareham
