Obituary

Alfred Fuller Prew, 84, of Attleboro, formerly of Norton passed away peacefully on Saturday September 22, 2018 at the Attleboro Health Care in Attleboro. He was the beloved husband of Linda (Scallin) Prew to whom he married on November 21, 1973. Born in Foxboro, Mass. on July 20, 1934, he was a loving son of the late Charles and Ruth (Fuller) Prew. Al grew up and was educated in Foxboro. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy. A resident of Attleboro for the past 7 years, he had previously made his family home in Norton, and prior to retiring had worked at The Foxboro Company. Al was quite the athlete growing up in Foxboro and was a starting pitcher for Foxboro High School. In his adult years, he was an avid bowler. Al was a passionate woodworker and his many items can be seen in his family's homes. He loved spending time with his adoring family, playing dominoes and faithfully following his beloved New England Patriots. He especially loved the times spent with his grandchildren. Besides his adoring wife, he is survived by his devoted children Curtis A. Prew of Foxboro, Charles A. Prew of North Attleboro and Mary A. Prew of Attleboro. He was the cherished grandfather of Dylan, Ashley, Nola and Lyla. He was the dear brother of Ida Foster of Peaks Island, ME, Mary Hickox of Coventry, RI, Joseph Prew of Foxboro, and the late Charles Prew. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Burial with military honors will be held privately at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
