Alice F. (Ferreira) Cameron, age 83, of Bridgewater, MA, formerly of Brockton, MA, passed away on July 20, 2022. She is survived by her loving son, Robert (TedBob) Cameron. She was the daughter of the late Estacio (Buzzy) and Willie Anna (Scarboro) Ferreira. She is predeceased by her husband, Frank Cameron, her brother (Frank) Tommy Ferreira, and her brother and his wife, Jack and Jeanene Ferreira of Whitman. Born and raised in Brockton, she graduated from Brockton High School in 1956 and continued her education at Tufts University at night, where she graduated as a certified dental assistant. Following her graduation, Alice remained with the same dental practice as a dental assistant, Office Manager, and Payroll Specialist for more than 50 years beginning with Dr. Raymond H. Johnson until his retirement, then Dr. Peter Juliano until his death, and finally Dr. Richard Celli. She lived her life giving and helping others. She taught Sunday school for many years at St. Paul's Episcopal church in Brockton where she was an active parishioner. Alice's kind, giving, and gentle nature enabled her to carry on and create many family traditions, such as family dinner on Christmas Eve and attending as many school and sports events as possible. She enjoyed shopping, gardening, and cooking. She was well known for her delicious desserts which were shared by family and many friends at Stone Meadow. She is also survived by her nephew and his wife, Jeff and Kelly Ferreira and their two children, Margaret and Jack Ferreira of East Bridgewater, her niece and husband, Joy and Mike Stephansky, of Virginia Beach and her son, Joy's son, Michael McGrath of New York, her niece and husband, Jann and Mark Ahern, Sr. of Whitman, and their son, Mark Ahern, Jr. of Maine, Cheryl Biedermann, wife of the late Walter Biedermann of Newton, and their sons, Alex and Nathan Biedermann and her many wonderful friends at Stone Meadow in Bridgewater. Alice will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure and privilege of knowing her. A casual memorial gathering to celebrate Alice's life will be held on August 6th from 2:00 to 7:00. Friends and family are invited to come to the Stone Meadow community center at 100 Bridgestone Way, Bridgewater. Doors will open at 2:00 with a short prayer service starting promptly by 2:30. Guests are encouraged to stay for food and drink starting immediately afterwards that will consist of a mixture of food from a collection of Alice's favorite Cape Cod restaurants, colorful desserts, and a few of her own recipes. Guests are encouraged to bring their appetites and stretchy pants. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Alice's name to support the Ruth McLain, Old Colony Hospice House of Braintree. We cannot possibly thank the staff of the home enough for the way Alice was treated with dignity, compassion, and respect.
