O’Malley of Brockton Nov. 8, 2003 Alice J. (Condon) O’Malley. Wife of the late William C. O’Malley. Loving mother of Denise O’Malley of Brockton, Andrea O’Malley-Munoz and her husband Marco Munoz of Chicago; John O’Malley and his wife Linda of Brockton and the late DA William C. O’Malley and Paula O’Malley. Grandmother of Michael, Stephen, Brian, William, Ryan, Missy and Kerri O’Malley and Maria Munoz. Great grandmother of eight.

Funeral from the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (Rte 123) Brockton Wed. at 8 am. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 9 am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-7 pm. Donations in Alice’s memory may be made to the American Heart Association 20 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701.

Obituary

Mrs. O’Malley died Saturday after a lengthy illness. She was born in Brockton a daughter of the late John and May (Sullivan) Condon and remained a lifelong resident of the city.

Mrs. O’Malley was a graduate of Brockton High School Class of 1938.After the death of her husband William in 1956 she attended Stonehill College and graduated in 1959 as the first female head of a family to receive a degree. She also received her masters in education from Bridgewater Sate College.

Mrs. O’Malley retired as a guidance counselor from Brockton High School after many years and then worked as a career counselor at Massasoit Community College for 10 years.

She had been a member of the Mass. Audubon Society, Brockton Historical Society, Fuller Art Museum and Stonehill Alumni Association.She enjoyed travel and flower gardening.She was a communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church.

She is survived by her two daughters and one son, 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildrenShe was the sister of Barbara Labbe of Portland, Maine and the late Grace CondonShe is also survived by several nieces and nephews

She was the mother of the late District Attorney William C. O’Malley and Paula O’Malley
