Alice N. (Edwards) Strong, 98, of West Roxbury, passed away Sunday, January 23, 2022. She was the wife of Edward Strong, Sr. Born in Weston, Georgia on May 19, 1923, she was the daughter of the late King Edwards and Susie Stanford. Alice enjoyed sewing, cooking, crossword puzzles, and music; she especially loved the Blues. In addition to her husband Edward Strong Sr, Alice is survived by her children Vera J. Strong, Edward Strong Jr., (Renee) Dara J. Strong, Ronald Strong (Rhonda); her grandchildren Derick K. Edwards, Sharna Johnson, Pleshette Johnson, Kesha Parker, The late Ronald Strong Jr, Edward Jones, Jovon Jones, Tayika Plowden, Zaranique Watson Pope, (Edward) Brandon Strong, Ava Jones, Roni-Anne Rose, (Derek) Mystique Watson, Antwunn Jones, Raheem Anderson; a host of great and great great-grandchildren; and her sister in law Irene Strong. She is preceded in death by her children Marion "Tina" Edwards, Alice Johnson-Jeffes, Ezekiel Strong, and Dana Strong; and her siblings, twin sister Effie Williams, sisters Sarah Edwards, Ann Lee Givens, Daisy Bell Johnson and brothers Samuel Edwards, David Edwards, and Arntae Edwards. Calling hours will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt.123) Brockton on Friday, February 4th from 9:00-11:00 AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton.
