Obituary

Allen J. Hopkins, Jr., age 78, of Rockland, formerly of Brockton, died July 1, 2018 at Webster Park Rehabilitation & Healthcare in Rockland. Born, raised and educated in Brockton, Allen was a son of the late Allen J. and Mary T. (Campbell) Hopkins, Sr. He was a Navy veteran and served during Vietnam. Allen owned a barber shop in Campello, worked in construction, and was a former management employee at Foot-Joy.

Allen was a member of the Easton Rod and Gun Club and enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle. Spending time with his family gave him the most enjoyment in his life.

Allen is survived by his children Kimberly DeMelo of Dartmouth and Kathleen Septelka of Mansfield; three grandchildren Marlena Corkum, Samantha Vaughan and Lucas Septelka, Jr. and two great grandchildren, Hunter Owen Septelka and Lucas Septelka, III. He was the brother of the late Joanne Roman.

A Graveside service will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery on Friday, August 3, at 10am.
