Obituary

Alton C. "Bud" Dutra Alton C. "Bud" Dutra , 93, of West Bridgewater, formerly of Brockton, passed away Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. He was the long time companion of Diane Piasecki. Born July 30, 1915 in Middleboro, he was the son of the late Anthony Dutra and Agnes (Delorey) Dutra. His family moved to Brockton where he attended Brockton Schools. In 1977, he retired from the Brockton Cutting Die Company in Avon, where he was a Foreman for over 40 years. Bud is well-known as a bowler at Westgate Lanes in Brockton. He was also the proud "sinker" of two "hole-in-ones" at D.W. Field Golf Course. His hobbies included oil painting, bowling, and golf. He is survived by his two sons, Winslow "Wink" Dutra and his wife Barbara of Bourne and Alton C. Dutra and his wife Escelia "Sissy" of Brockton; his daughter, Janice (Phillips) Clark of Brockton; his grandchildren, Tammy Fergusen of Holbrook, Daniel J. Dutra of FL, Jennifer Dutra of Fairhaven, Robert Phillips of Brockton, and David Phillips of Easton; his sister, Phyliss Kent of FL; his longtime companion, Diane Piasecki; he is also survived by six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Helen Moore and Agnes Fielding. Funeral Information Calling hours in the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Thursday evening, August 28th 5:00-8:00PM followed by a funeral prayer service in the funeral home at 8:00PM. Private cremation will follow.
