Ambrosios N. "Amby" Lymberopoulos, 64, of Brockton, amazing and loving husband, father and grandfather (Papouli) suddenly passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2014 while doing what he loved, dancing and being surrounded by love and family. He was the loving husband of Eleni (Makris) Lymberopoulos for 39 years.
Born September 8, 1949 in Filiatra, Greece, he was the son of the late Nikolaos Lymberopoulos and Athena (Tsoulos) Lymberopoulos.
Amby immigrated to the United States in 1972 and was a baker by trade. He was the owner and operator of Dip'N'Sip Doughnut Shop in Brockton for 25 years. He previously worked for Walworth Marine Division as a skilled machinist in Canton for 10 years. He was a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Brockton and the AHEPA Association.
He taught his family to love, live, dance and enjoy the simple things in life. He had a passion for fishing, riding his bike, watching boxing and trips to the Cape. Amby always cared for others as if they were his own family. He was most happy when spending time with his five grandchildren, pushing them on the swings and going for adventurous walks.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Nickolas Lymberopoulos and his wife Elizabeth of Brockton and Athena Giannaros and her husband Spiros of Easton; his grandchildren, Samira (7), Niko (6),Michael Ambrosios (5),Marco Ambrosios (3) and Isabella (8mths); his siblings, Harry Lymberopoulos of Needham, Haralambia Zaggos, Takis, Yiannis, Serafim Lymberopoulos all from Greece; he is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was the Brother of the late Kostas Lymberopoulos.
Funeral Information
Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Thursday, January 9th at 10:00AM followed by a funeral service in the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 457 Oak St., Brockton at 11:00AM. Interment will follow in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours in the Russell Pica Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4:00-8:00PM.
