Amelia Rosa Joia, 83, of Brockton passed away Sunday, January 21, 2018 She was the loving wife of Sebastian R. Joia. Born July 1, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Laura (DaRosa) Pina. Amelia enjoyed gardening, sewing and especially music and singing. She was employed by New England Art in Abington, Ma for many years and retired from there. She was a longtime communicant of St. Patrick's Church in Brockton. In addition to her husband she is survived by her loving daughter, Maria Falcon and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Manuel Joia and her brothers, John Pina and Christiano Pina A funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 28th at 3:00PM. Burial will be private. Visitation will be prior to the service from 2:00 to 3:00PM.
