Amelia V. (Giovanniello) Schneider Amelia V. (Giovanniello) Schneider , 83, of Brockton, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2011 at the Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital. She was the wife of the late Robert D. Schneider. Born July 27, 1927 in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Michael Giovanniello and Escelia (Labate) Giovanniello. Born and raised in Brockton she attended Brockton schools and was a lifelong Brockton resident. Amelia worked at her family restaurant; Ship's Crossing in Woods Hole, Falmouth for several years. She enjoyed cooking and was a communicant of St. Joseph Church in Falmouth. She was the mother of the late Robert D. Schneider and his wife Claudette Schneider of Mashpee; her grandchildren, Derek Schneider of Hull, Travis Schneider of Mashpee and Renata Schneider of Mashpee; her brother, Amalio Giovanniello of Brockton; her nieces, Christine Giovanniello and Escelia Dutra both of Brockton; she is also survived by several other nieces and nephews. Funeral Information With Amelia's request, a private graveside service will be held in the VA National Cemetery, Bourne. Following the interment, all are invited to a Memorial Gathering in the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Wednesday, April 13th from 2:00-4:00PM.
