Online Obituaries Ana M. Fortes, 83, of Brockton, passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at the Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital. Born September 1, 1934 in Sao Vicente, Cape Verde, she was a daughter of the late Jose M. Fortes and Maria J. (Silva) Fortes. Ana was a grade school teacher in Cape Verde. She came to the United States to Brockton in 1976 where she has called her home since that time. She taught at the Davis Middle School in Brockton for many years. She is survived by her children, Eunice Osorio and her husband Jose, Noemia Pina and her husband John, Gamaliel Fortes, Daniel Fortes and his fianc Carla DaRosa,Carlos Santos and Cacai Lopes, Raquel Fortes-Kelly and her husband Dennis, Vera Morris and her husband Michael, Elisa Fortes, Ivone Smith and her husband Kevin and Nancy Fortes and her fianc Jeff Fanfan; her grandchildren, Mark Santos, Ana-Allycia Fortes, Amanda Fortes, the late Daniel Fortes Junior and Joshua Fortes, Jonathan Pina, Gabrielle Fortes, Sarah Pina, Samantha Fortes-Burgo, Natasha Fortes, Jahmal Fortes, Elijah Fortes, Mikera Morris, Michael Morris, Jordan Fortes, Nathan Fortes-Gardner, Elianna Fortes, Emarli Massicote, Kailey Kelly, Makai Fanfan, Valter Barro and Flavio Osorio; her sister, Julia M. Fortes. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Valerio Fortes, Antonio Fortes, Joao Fortes, Francisco Fortes, Maria Fortes, Paula Fortes and Adelaide Fortes Santos. Funeral Information Calling hours will be held in the Nova Aliana Church of Nazarene, 38 Mystic St., Brockton on Friday, November 24th from 9:00AM-10:00AM followed by a Funeral Service at 10:00AM. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Brockton.
