Anastasia (Alafogiannis) Theodossiou, of Brockton, passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. She was the wife of the late Costa Theodossiou.
Born in the village of Kastri in Sparta, Greece she came first to Toronto, Canada in 1960 and settled in Brockton in 1961. She was a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church of Brockton. She worked in the garment industry at several factories in Brockton. She enjoyed spending time with her family, going to church, traveling, cooking, baking and entertaining her many friends and relatives
She is survived by her devoted children, Carrie Theodossiou and George Theodossiou both of Brockton; her siblings, Bessie Blanas of Toronto, Canada, Vasilios Alafogiannis and his wife Matoula of Kastri, Greece, Connie Blanas and her husband George of Toronto, Canada, her sister-in-law Nikoleta Alafogiannis of Toronto, Canada and many nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces. She was the sister of the late Nicholas Alafogiannis of Toronto, Canada.
Funeral Information
Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Saturday November 3rd at 9:00AM followed by a funeral service in the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 457 Oak St., Brockton at 10:00AM. The Rev. Anthony Evangelatos will officiate. Interment will follow in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours Friday 4-8PM.
