Obituary

Andrew Tsoumas Andrew Tsoumas , 83, of Easton and formerly of Brockton, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. He was the husband of the late Joan (Angelos) Tsoumas. Born September 9, 1927 in Xanthi, Greece, he was the son of the late Themistocles Tsoumas and Kalliope (Doumousiaris) Tsoumas. He served as a Lieutenant in the Greek Army. Andrew came to Brockton in 1952. He worked for AB tanning and retired as the General Manager of Columbia Tanning in Brockton. He was a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Brockton where he served on its Board. He was a member of AHEPA and Mason's. He enjoyed gardening, the stock market, feeding birds, fishing, reading and spending time with his family. He is survived by his children, Themis J. Tsoumas and his wife Linda of Belchertown, Ann Nicholaides and her husband Neal of Easton and Cali Boimila and her husband Dennis of Bridgewater; his grandchildren, Katrina Tsoumas and her fianc Josh Kingsbury, Joanna Tsoumas and her fianc Kevin McNeill, Andreas Tsoumas, Lauren Schantz and her husband Michael, James Nicholaides, Andrew Boimila and Steven Boimila; his sister, Helen Bourlogiannis of Brockton; he is also survived by many nieces, nephews and God-Children. He was the brother of the late Theodora Georgantas. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Monday, July 18th at 10:00AM followed by a funeral service in the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 457 Oak St., Brockton at 11:00AM. Interment will follow in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours in the Russell Pica Funeral Home Sunday 4:00-8:00PM.
