Online Obituaries Androklis Mike the Tailor Michailidis, 79, of Brockton, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2016 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center after a tough battle with lung cancer. He was the husband of the late Anastasia (Karaoglanidou) Michailidis. Born April 20, 1937 in Greece, he came to the United States in 1970 to pursue a better life for his family. He made his living as a tailor, owning dry cleaners in both West Bridgewater and Brockton. His hobbies included watching baseball, visiting his friends at the Greek club, and most of all spending time with his family. He is survived by his son, Nicholas Michailidis and the late Maria Fitopoulos; son in law, Nicholas Fitopoulos; grandfather of Teddy, Andy and Nicky Fitopoulos. He served as the father figure for his entire family. Always leading by example, he was instrumental in shaping his family into the people he hoped they would one day become. Having faced more heart break in life than any one person ever should, he always maintained a positive outlook on life and managed to always lighten up the mood. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Thursday, May 5th at 10:00AM followed by a funeral service in the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 457 Oak St., Brockton at 11:00AM. Interment will follow in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home Wednesday 4:00-7:00PM.
