Angela (Silvia) Bourassa, 80, of Lakeville passed away on January 26 at her home under the loving care of hospice and her family. She was the wife of the late Henry Bourassa, to whom she was married for 40 years.

Born and raised in Fall River, MA, she was the daughter of the late Fortune Silvia and Mary Angela (Rocha) Silvia. She moved to Westport, MA, where she resided for 34 years with her husband and raised their family. She had a career as an insurance service representative and worked at LaPointe Agency in Fall River until her retirement.

After her husband's death in 2003, she relocated to Lakeville and was a very active member of the community, especially the church and the Council On Aging. At her parish, St Isadore's, she was a member of the choir, a eucharistic minister, and a greeter at masses. She sat on the Board of the COA, was a member of the "Friends of the COA", and enjoyed exercise classes, volunteering, and attending various events.

Angela had many close friends and enjoyed traveling throughout the country and abroad with them. Above all else, she loved and lived for her family. She was fiercely dedicated to her children and grandchildren and cherished every minute she spent with them.

Angela is survived by her son Paul Bourassa and wife Marie of South Dennis, MA (formerly of Berkley, MA); daughter Diane Lankowski and husband Robert of Lakeville, MA; and her beloved grandchildren Andrew, Julia, Christopher and the late Victoria Bourassa and Michael, Dylan, Jared, and Molly Lankowski. She also leaves her sister Marylou Alix of Westport, MA; her brother James Silvia of Taunton, MA and many nieces, nephews, and treasured family members and friends.

Funeral From the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 17 Main St., (Rt105) Lakeville on Thursday, February 2nd at 9:00AM thence to St. Martha & Mary Church, 354 Bedford Street, Lakeville where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of her soul at 10:00AM. Interment will follow in Beechgrove Cemetery, Westport. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, February 1st from 4:00-8:00 PM in the funeral home.
