Obituary

Angela T. (Barelli) Carroll age 90 of Brockton, died Friday June 21, 2013 at the West Acres Nursing Home after a period of failing health. She was the loving wife for 53 years of the late Robert J. Carroll. Angela was born in Boston and raised in Hyde Park a daughter of the late Peter and Lucia (Iacuone) Barelli and had lived in Brockton since 1963.

A graduate of Boston Trade School, Angela was a talented seamstress. She worked in several Boston garment factories and retired from the Brockton Hospital in 1985 after 12 years as a seamstress. Angela enjoyed sewing, playing bingo, yard work and watching the Red Sox. She was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary, Chapter 76, Brockton.

She is survived by her loving children Robert J. Carroll, Jr. of West Bridgewater; John L. Carroll of New Port Richey, FL; Anne Marie Carroll and Teresa Needleman both of Brockton. Grandmother of Jacki and Sam Carroll, Austin Needleman and Ashley Stacey. She was the sister of Louise Barelli of Charlton, MA; Mary Gallagher of Alexandria, VA and the late Nicholas, Victor and Adelmo Barelli, Annie Poncia, Eleanor Tarallo, and Eva Coughlin. She also leaves many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton on Tuesday 4-8 pm. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home on Wednesday at 9:30 am for a Funeral Mass in Christ the King Parish at 10:30 am. Burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Roslindale.
