Online Obituaries Angela S. (Santos) Fernandes, 97, of Brockton, passed away Friday, March 18, 2016 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. She was the wife of the late Joaquim Fernandes. Born June 11, 1918 in Brava, Cape Verde she was a daughter of the late Fortunato dos Santos and Ravana (Massini) Santos. Angela enjoyed cooking, crocheting, and taking care of her family. She was the rock and matriarch of her family. She is survived by her children, Euridice Fernandes, Celeste Lamas, John Fernandes and his wife Clara Fernandes, Marie Santos, and Clara Miranda; her grandchildren, Angela Lamas Martin, Mark Santos, Jessica Miranda, Michael Miranda, Christopher Fernandes, Roberto Fernandes, Daniel Fernandes, Alcides Pina and John Pina; her great grandchildren, Mason Maddox, Jordan Maddox, Jennifer Miranda, Elias Miranda, Cicilia Chem, and Dineris Fernandes; she is also survived by many nieces and nephews and her caregiver Beatriz Gomes. She was the mother of the late Carlota Vieira from Brockton. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, on Wednesday, March 23rd at 9:00AM followed by a funeral mass in Christ the King Parish, 54 Lyman St., Brockton at 10:00AM.
