DePina, of Brockton, January 17, 2005, Anibal DePina, 89 years. Husband of the late Maria (Pina) DePina. Father of Joaquim DePina of RI, Maria Jose Abreu of Brockton, and Lidia Rodrigues, Manuela Macedo and Rosa Cardoso all of FL.

Funeral Service in the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Thursday at 11:30am. Burial in Melrose Cemetery. Visiting Hours Wednesday 5-9pm.

Obituary Information

Anibal DePina, 89 years of Brockton, died Monday morning at Baypointe Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center after a period of failing health. Born in Fogo S. Fillipe, Cape Verde, he was the son of the late Antonio DaSilva and Catarina DePina. He had been a resident of Brockton for the past 20 years, and had been employed by the Brockton School Department. He enjoyed playing cards with family and friends.

He is survived by one son Joaquim DePina of East Providence, RI, four daughters Maria Jose Abreu of Brockton, Lidia Rodrigues, Manuela Macedo and Rosa Cardoso all of Kissimee, FL, 16 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, two brothers Lino DePina of Cape Verde, Manuel DaSilva of Dorchester, three sisters, Cesarina DePina, Antonia DaSilva and Maria DaSilva all of Cape Verde
