Anne met her husband, Bob, in Dorchester in the late 1940s, and married him in 1951. Together they raised a family in Dorchester. Anne would take her children to the "Y" to teach them how to swim where she easily made friends with a group of ladies who would affectionately be known as the "Swimmin' Women". Having moved to East Dennis after her husband's retirement, she began to work as a tour guide, meeting people from all over the country while continuing her love of history. She later went to work for the Cape Cod Hospital in Medical Records for many years before she retired. During retirement, she and Bob traveled to many places before settling in Naples during the winter months. Their travels would take them around the country to meet Bob's World War II Navy shipmates and their wives. Anne and Bob were members of Our Lady of the Cape church but would attend Mass wherever they could.
Anne liked to skate, having made a special point to skate at Rockefeller Center, go to the beach, spend time with her family, play MahJong, and go to yard sales to look for bargains. She was an avid Red Sox fan, often staying up late to watch all the games.
