Ann (Torounian) Kashgagian, 88, passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Ira A. Kashgagian.
Born in Philadelphia, PA on February 12, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Simon Torounian and Araxi (Kabakjian) Torounian. She graduated from John Bartram High School in Philadelphia, class of 1950.
Ann worked for Bell Telephone in Pennsylvania and then transferred locally. She also assisted her husband Ira, the 2nd generation co-owner and operator of the family business, Paramount Rug Company of Brockton and Hyannis.
Ann took pride in raising her children first and foremost, and also enjoyed homemaking, sewing, cooking, bargain shopping, traveling abroad, bowling, and spending time beachside at the Jersey Shores and Cape Cod with family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Karen Godino and her husband Chris of Falmouth, Chris Kashgagian and his fiancé Sheryl Simons of Mansfield and Kirk Kashgagian of Brockton; her grandchildren, Christopher Godino of Boston, Nicholas Kashgagian and his fiancé Courtney White of Brockton, Anthony Kashgagian of Brockton, Sarah Kashgagian of Brockton and twins Kyle and Kloe Kashgagian of Easton; her great-granddaughter Raelyn Kashgagian of Brockton; her brother Jack Torounian of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; Melissa Ferrari Kashgagian of Easton; and many nieces and nephews whom she adored.
At the request of her family and in honoring her wishes, a private funeral service was held with interment in Pine Hill Cemetery in West Bridgewater.
