Obituary

Ann T. (Farrell) Stanley age 75 of Braintree, formerly of Manomet, died Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Royal Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Catherine (McHugh) Farrell. She was raised in Roslindale and attended Sacred Heart School. Ann stayed home to raise her family and worked briefly for Massachusetts Financial Services and as a counselor for teenagers in the AA program. At the age of 12, she made a memorable trip to Ireland to spend the summer with family members. She was an avid gardener who loved to work in her yard in Manomet, and also liked to read and go to the beach.

Ann is survived by her children, Curtis A. Kennedy of West Bridgewater, Sherie Santos of Manomet, Brian Stanley of Leominster, Michael Stanley of Quincy and Andrea Smith of Adams; grandmother of eleven; great grandmother of two and sister of Kathleen McIntosh of Hyannis, Marion Gatturna of Hingham and the late James Farrell. She also leaves several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Friday, August 10 from 11am-12pm followed by a funeral service at 12pm. Donations may be made in Ann’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association, 309 Waverley Oaks Rd., Waltham, MA 02452.
