Anna (Akeke) Kay Anna (Akeke) Kay , 88, of Brockton, passed away on Friday, May 07, 2010 at the Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital after a brief period of failing health. She was the wife of the late James Kay. Born September 14, 1921 in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Louis G. Akeke and Josephine H. (Akeke) Akeke. A lifelong Brockton resident, she graduated from Brockton High School in 1939. Anna was a retired seamstress and she enjoyed playing bingo, the daily lottery and cards. She was a communicant of St. Theresa Maronite Catholic Church in Brockton and she was the past Treasurer of Local UNITE, Garment Retirees Club. She is survived by her two sisters and brother, Sarah Akeke, Mary Akeke and George Akeke all of Brockton; her nieces, Theresa (Akeke) O'Brien and her husband Timothy of Brockton and Laura Akeke of Norwood; her great niece, Megan O'Brien; her great nephew, Matthew O'Brien; her sister-in-law, Rose Akeke of Norwood. She was the sister of the late Albert Akeke and Bahea Akeke. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (RT123) Brockton on Tuesday at 9:00AM thence to St. Theresa Maronite Catholic Church, 343 North Main St., Brockton where the Service of the Devine Liturgy will be celebrated at 10:00AM. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours in the Russell Pica Funeral Home Monday 4:00-8:00PM with an Incense Service at 7:00PM.
