Anna Marie Sheehan Anna Marie (Leonard) Sheehan, 86, of Brockton, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 15, 2013 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. She was the beloved wife of the late William B. Sheehan (1924-1990), former President of Goddard Memorial Hospital. Born June 11, 1927 in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Thomas E. Leonard and Agnes E. (MacDonald) Leonard. Raised in Newton, she was a graduate of Newton North High School. Resident of Brockton since 1969, Anna enjoyed bowling, crosswords, traveling, texting with her friends and grandchildren, and regular visits with her friends at Owen O'Leary's in Brockton. Anna was quick with her wit, quicker with a smile, and generous with her love. A truer friend could not be found. She is survived by her six children, Mary Sheehan Winn and her husband Donald of Marshfield, Anna Marie Cottrell of Naples, FL, Leonard J. Sheehan and Kathleen Mullaney of East Greenwich, RI, Agnes E. McMillen and her husband Daniel of Taunton, James F. Sheehan and his wife Diane (Paiva) of Taunton and Thomas E. Sheehan and his wife Anne (Benjamin) of Concord, NH; her grandchildren, Christine M. Stonebridge and her husband Ray, Winthrop S. Cottrell and his wife Heather (Davies) all of Naples, FL, Ryan Sheehan and Colin Sheehan, both of NH; her great-grandson, Winthrop Davies Cottrell of Naples, FL ; her sister, Mary T. Bruno and her husband Joe of Bristol, RI; Michaela K. (Sheehan) Spillane and her husband Jack of Watertown, MA; Elizabeth (Sheehan) Casey of Nashua, NH. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews; as well as numerous extended family. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Friday, September 20th at 8:00AM thence to Our Lady of Lourdes, 439 West St., Brockton where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of her soul at 9:00AM.
