Obituary

Anthony A. Mason Anthony "Tony" Angelo Mason of Brockton, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at St. Joseph Manor in Brockton at the age of 87. Born January 24, 1922, he was raised in Foggia, Italy and was the son of the late Angelo Calitri and Maria (Mannuppelli) Calitri. Tony was a Barber in the Brockton area for many years. He enjoyed playing cards, baseball, fishing, and spending time with his family. Tony was a Disabled Veteran of World War II, who fought at Anzio Beach, Italy. He was the recipient of many medals including the Purple Heart for Military Merit. Tony is survived by his sister-in-law, Evelyn Calitri, his nieces and nephews, Marie O'Day, Donna Calitri, Steven Calitri and Marc Calitri all of Brockton, Joseph Calitri of Madison, NH, John and Patricia Calitri of Attleboro, and Christine and David Detoma of North Attleboro. Anthony Mason was loved and will be sadly missed by many great nieces and nephews, family members, and friends as well as his dog Conrad. He was the brother of the late John Calitri, Sr., and uncle of the late Anthony Calitri. Funeral Information A private funeral service was held in the Russell Pica Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 17th at 11:00AM with interment in Calvary Cemetery with full Military Honors.
