Obituary

Anthony J. Miguel, 84, of Brockton, died Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at Forestview Nursing Home in Wareham. He was the husband of the late Francesca (Piscatelli) Miquel. Born, raised and educated in Taunton, he was the son of the late Esrmaiel and Rose (Figueiredo) Miguel. A resident of Brockton since 1947, Tony was a self employed cement mason, working mainly on the Campanelli developments, and during his retirement worked on small carpentry jobs. During WWII he served in the US Army in the European Theatre. Tony was an avid New England sports fan, and when his sons were younger, he coached their farm league baseball teams.

He is survived by his seven children Kathleen Butrick and her husband Leroy of Brockton, Anthony Miquel, Jr. of Booth Bay Maine, Dennis Miquel, (Ret). BFD and his wife Debby of Brockton, Robert Miquel and his wife Kathy of Middleboro, Maryann Bostrom and her husband Don of W. Wareham, Linda Maraglia and her husband Mark of Brockton and Sandy Santry and her husband Dan, BFD of Brockton; 11 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; two sisters Olivia Miguel of Taunton and Tina Rei of Rhode Island and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Natalie Shavier, Alici Frank and Mary Ferriera.
