Arrington R. Parker, Jr.

In Loving Memory of Arrington R. Parker Jr. Affectionately Known as “Brother”

Arrington Rochell Parker Jr., affectionately known as “Brother,” was born September 6, 1959, in Portsmouth, Virginia, to the late Carrie Frances Parker (Norman) and Arrington Rochell Parker Sr. He transitioned on September 24, 2026, at the age of 67.

Arrington attended West Roxbury High School and worked as a Personal Care Attendant and chef, including sharing his culinary talents through Aramark at Fenway Park.

Brother was warm and loving, sharp-witted, playful, protective, and unmistakably himself. He enjoyed cooking, music, cruising the highway, spending time with family and friends, and cheering on his beloved New England Patriots, Boston Celtics, and Boston Red Sox.

Arrington leaves to cherish his memory his children, Jennifer Haines Parker, Bryant Lee, Sharneatha “Lulu,” Sheppard and Kira Ford; his grandchildren, Aayvion Parker, Thomas and Renee Ford, Dejanae Sheppard, Tiara Lewis, Jamari Gavin, Aaniylah Freeman and soon-to-be-born, Arrington Freeman; and his siblings, Diann Moore-Holmes, Edith M. Parker-Hawkins, Melvin Parker Sr., Latonya “Dee-Dee” Andrews, Charlette Parker-Edwards, Tomeka Mackey, and Bakari Mackey. He is also lovingly remembered by his honorary brothers, Derrick Combs and Michael Pettijohn; his former wife, Rosalind S. Thomas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, loved ones, and friends.

He was preceded in transition by his parents and his siblings, Vickie B. Parker and Arrington Jermeill Mackey, along with other beloved family members who transitioned before him.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Miss Patricia Smith—Diva Extraordinaire—for the exceptional caregiving, love, presence, and support she provided to Brother during the final chapter of his life.

Brother leaves behind more than memories. He leaves the unmistakable imprint of a man who loved in his own way, laughed in his own way, and lived life in his own way.

67 years. One unmistakable life. Forever Brother.
