Arthur F. Sylvaria, Jr. Arthur F. Sylvaria, Jr. , 88, of Hanson, passed away Saturday, January 1, 2011 in Hanson. He was the husband of the late Rose-Marie (Saba) Sylvaria. Born March 29, 1922 in New Bedford, he was the son of the late Arthur Sylvaria and Cecelia (Felix) Sylvaria. He graduated from New Bedford High School and then served in the United States Navy. He received his Under Graduate from Arnold College and his Masters Degree of Education from New York University. Mr. Sylvaria was an Elementary School Principal of Attleboro and Seekonk for over 30 years. He was a football referee with South Eastern Massachusetts and a member of the Football Officials Association for over 40 years. He enjoyed all sports and spending time with his family. He is survived by his two daughters, Karen Brennan and her husband Walter of Hanson and Kim Jones and her husband Jim of Virginia; his three grandchildren, Amber Brennan, James Jones and Ryan Jones; he is also survived by several sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Wednesday, January 5th at 9:00AM followed by Services of the Divine Liturgy in St. Theresa Maronite Catholic Church, 343 North Main St., Brockton at 10:00AM.
