Ashley Marie Roderick, known to her loved ones as Ash, passed away on February 3rd, 2024, at the age of 39 in Brockton, Massachusetts. Born on December 3rd, 1984, in Brockton, Ash was a kind, funny, generous, free-spirited individual who touched the lives of many.
Ashley was a 2002 graduate of Brockton High School and later became a medical assistant at Harvard Vanguard and was dedicated to helping others. She had a passion for gymnastics, dance, pageants, and journaling. These hobbies allowed her to express her creativity and showcase her vibrant personality.
Ashley leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. She is survived by her two children, Caiden Tyler and Caleb James. Her longtime companion, Carlos Varela Jr. She was a loving daughter to her mother, Andrea Gomes-Roderick, and her father, Charles J. Roderick Jr. Ash was also a beloved sister to Charles J. Roderick III and his wife Dara, as well as Amba, Ciara, and Alana. She was a devoted aunt to Brooke, Chase, Landyn, Natalia, Ianha, Charlotte, LJ, Logan, and Sian. She shared a special bond with her Auntie Nee-Nee Anita Roderick and cousins Monique, Melanie, Bobby, and Messiah. Additionally, Ashley is survived by her grandmothers, Catherine Jones and Patrica Gomes, and her grandfather Charles J. Roderick Sr. She was also a cherished niece of Mandy Gomes, Scott Gomes, Cynthia Jacobs, Teresa Stanley, and Brian Roderick and his wife Madeline. Ashley leaves behind many cousins and friends. Ashley was preceded in death by her great-grandmothers, Gladys Gomes and Emily French, her great-grandfather James Mahoney, and her grandfather Roland Adams.
Ashley Marie Roderick will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her loving spirit, caring nature, and vibrant personality will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched.
Visitation services will be held Friday, February 16th, 2024, from 4-6 PM at Russell Pica Funeral Home in Brockton, Massachusetts. The compassionate team at Russell Pica Funeral Home is dedicated to assisting the family during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donating to be given to her children.
