Online Obituaries Aster J. Dye, 73, died peacefully Friday, December 23, 2016 surrounded by his family at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. He was the beloved husband of Mary Ann (Strength) Dye of Brockton. Born November 20, 1943 in London, England he was the son of the late Harry Aster and Eileen (Cullen) Dye. Aster was raised in Boston and then made his home in Brockton with his loving wife Mary Ann of 50 years. He worked for J. & S.S. DeYoung, Inc. of Boston for most of his life before becoming an entrepreneur. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He also loved exploring nature and especially loved spending time in Vermont with family. He had a strong love for his and all animals. Aster will be missed by all who knew him. In addition to his loving wife he is survived by his four sons; Daniel and his wife Marcy, Michael, Brian and his wife Dawn Marie and Dennis and his wife Roula; grandchildren, Caitlin, Jared, Courtney, Jordan, Tyler, Christina, Dennis and Connor; a sister, Geraldine Wilson and her husband Stephen and a brother in law, Robert Dow and many nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was the brother of the late Eileen Dow and Daniel Dye. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Thursday at 9:30AM thence to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 439 West St., Brockton where a funeral Mass will be celebrated for the repose of his soul at 10:30AM. Interment will follow in Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Calling hours in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00PM.
