IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Audrey May
Leeker
October 20, 1928 – November 5, 2025
Audrey Leeker, age 97, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2025, at The Hannah B. G. Shaw Home in Middleboro, Massachusetts.
Audrey lived a full and vibrant life after being born in Brooklyn, New York, to her parents, Harry and Wilhelmina Biedermann. She and her beloved husband, Warren Leeker (deceased), raised their daughter, Gail Reynolds Leeker (deceased), on Long Island, New York, before retiring to Sarasota, Florida, where they enjoyed many wonderful years together. Audrey was a nurturing mother to her daughter Gail, providing loving care as she faced many health challenges throughout her life.
She was known for her love of family, her passion for traveling, and the joy she found in the companionship of her dog, Boozer. She also enjoyed going out and sharing a glass of wine or two with friends and loved ones.
Later in life, Audrey moved to Massachusetts to be near her extended family. She shared many warm and fun visits with her niece, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great nephews, as well as her supportive and loving sister-in-law, Lillian Biedermann. She was predeceased by her brother, John Biedermann, whom she adored and with whom she shared her final years at The Shaw Home.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of The Shaw Home for their kindness, care, and friendship, and to Compassionate Care Hospice for their support throughout her final year.
A private celebration of life will be held by the family. Her ashes will be brought to Sarasota, Florida, where she will be laid to eternal rest with her husband and daughter.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Hannah B. G. Shaw Home, 299 Wareham Street, Middleboro, MA 02346.
