Obituary

Augustino A. Madonna Augustino A. Madonna , 83, of Brockton, died Wednesday, November 25, 2009 peacefully at Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of the late Josephine T. (Dziergowski) Madonna for 53 years. Born August 14, 1926 in Brockton, he was the son of the late Frank Madonna and Rosarina (Lombardo) Madonna. Augustino was born and raised in Brockton; he attended Brockton Schools and lived a short time in West Bridgewater. He was a tool and die maker who worked at Gaymark Tool in Whitman, Globe Tool in Avon, and as a supervisor at Allied Signal-Sigma Instruments in Braintree. He was also a United States Army Veteran of World War II, a substitute teacher at Southeastern Regional High School, and a baby photographer. Augie was an avid bowler, walker, Red Sox and Patriots fan. He was a loving Father, Brother, and Grandfather who taught his grandchildren to play chess, cribbage, and board games. He was always willing to lend a helping hand; he fixed everything for everybody and was loved by all. He is survived by his loving children, Diane T. Rudolph and her husband Gary of Brockton, Carol A. O'Connor and her husband Paul of Brockton, Brenda M. Connolly and her husband Tom of Bridgewater, and Steven A. Madonna and his wife Susan of Easton; his nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of Rosarina Hassan, Salvatore Madonna, Arthur Madonna and the late Vincent Madonna, Michael Madonna and two younger brothers that died at a young age. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt.123) Brockton on Monday, November 30th at 8:00AM thence to St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 103 Center St., Bridgewater where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of his soul at 9:00AM. Interment will follow in St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery, Bridgewater. Calling hours in the Russell Pica Funeral Home Sunday 5:00-8:00PM.
