Azael Jean, 82, of Raynham, passed away on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. He was the husband of the late Francesca (Moise) Jean.
Born September 27, 1935 in Les Cayes, Haiti, he was a son of the late Amantile Nelcy.
Raised and educated in Haiti, Azael owned and operated a local alcohol brewery in Haiti.
He came to the United States in 2006 to Raynham. Azael was a devout catholic. He was a simple man, who was described as being nice and pleasant.
He is survived by his children, Mirto Joseph and her husband Marc Eddy Joseph, Alix Jean and his wife Katia, Nicole Jean, Harry Jean and his wife Gerda P. Jean, Mirdouin Jean, Marjorie Fanfan and her husband Enel; his stepchildren, Chantal (Malet) Barthelemy, Claudette Thomas and her husband Claude and Andree Martine Thomas and her husband Exma; his sister-in-law, Odette Moise; his grandchildren, Jessica and Jeffrey Joseph and his several other grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 441 South Main St.,(RT28), WEST BRIDGEWATER on Tuesday, April 3rd at 8:00AM thence to Christ the King Parish, 54 Lyman St., Brockton where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of his soul at 9:00AM. Interment will follow in the Melrose Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours omitted.
