Babe Ann Russo, 83, of South Easton, formerly of Stoughton, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Royal Cape Cod Nursing Home. Babe was crowned "Miss Barbour Welting" in a beauty pageant in 1953.
Born April 14, 1936 in Stoughton, she was the daughter of the late Emilio Russo and Antonetta (Tedesco) Russo. Raised in Stoughton she attended Stoughton schools. She worked as a home health aide for many years. She has lived in South Easton. She loved her family very much especially her late son, Joey; as well as her two grandsons, Nick and the late Tony.
Babe loved music and she loved to dance. She loved her 1999 Red Cadillac Eldorado that her late son Joey had bought for her. Babe loved animals and was also a member of the M.S.P.C.A. She had a great relationship with her doctor, Roland J. Florio, MD.
She is survived by her grandson, Nicholas Gaultier of South Easton, her daughter-in-law, Barbara Gaultier; her siblings, Emily Gichel of Raynham and Rose Russo of Middleboro, her special nephew Sgt. Robert F. Smyth of the Norfolk County Sheriff's Department. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was the loving mother of her beloved son the late Joseph Gaultier, Jr; grandmother of the late Anthony Gaultier and the sister of the late Alfred Russo, Peter Russo, Pat Russo, Edward "Sonny" Russo, Tootsie Russo and Helen Smyth.
Funeral Arrangements are private. Interment will be in the Russo Family plot at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton. Donations may be made in Babe's memory to the APCSM, 1300 West Elm Ext., Brockton, MA 02301
