Obituary

Barbara A. (Cloudman) Bishop, age 75 of Boscawen, NH, formerly of Brockton MA, died on September 16, 2021, at the Merrimack County Nursing Home. Barbara was the wife of the late Walter Bishop. Born in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Shirley (Eldredge) Cloudman.

Barbara is survived by three sons: Allan Bishop of Halifax, MA, Daniel Bishop of Brockton, MA and Christopher Bishop and his wife Dana of Canterbury, NH and three grandchildren: Devin Bishop Holmes, Kaylan Bishop and Quentin MacCoy. She also leaves two great grandchildren, ten nieces and nephews and thirty-one great nieces and nephews. She was the sister of Lester Cloudman and his wife Cynthia of Carver, MA, and Connie Bishop of Seymour, IN.

Barbara was raised in East Bridgewater and Pembroke MA and was a 1964 graduate of Silver Lake Regional High School. For many years she was a legal assistant for the federal government and a real estate broker.

Devoted to her family and children, she also enjoyed camping and riding motorcycles. She was involved with programs dealing with indigent families and self-help organizations. Barbara was an advocate for saving wildlife, especially wolves.

Visitation will be held at Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, MA, Friday, October 8, 2021, from 4-6 pm, followed by a funeral service at 6 pm. A private family graveside service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations in Barbara’s name may be made to Parkinson’s Research, the Michael J Fox Foundation, PO Box 5014, Hagerstown, MD 21741-5014.
