Bowley of Brockton, December 2, 2002, Barbara L. Bowley, 80 years. Sister of Irene M. Slattery and her husband Thomas of Brockton and the late Olivia E. Hedges. Aunt of Deborah Valler and Roger Hedges both of Carver; Stephen Hedges of Lakeville; Donna Poillucci of Stoughton; Kathy Sampson of Florida; Thomas R. Slattery of CA and Sean M. Slattery of Brockton.

Funeral Service in the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte123) Brockton Friday 11 am. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, W. Bridgewater. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 pm.

Obituary

Miss Bowley died Monday afternoon at the Brockton Hospital, after a brief illness. Born in Harwich, daughter of the late Roger E. and Marion M. (Stearns) Bowley.

Graduate of Brockton High School Class of 1940. She had been a resident of Campellosection of Brockton for most of her life. Retired from the garment industry having worked many years at London Clothing and Davis Clothing in Brockton. She was a member of the Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America.

Longtime member of Nelson Street Trailer Camp in Plymouth and several local Senior Citizens Centers. She enjoyed bingo, gardening, sewing, crocheting and she loved to cook and care for animals Miss Bowley and her family loved to travel extensively and enjoyed camping and fishing.

Survived by a sister Irene M. Slattery of Brockton, 3 nieces and 4 nephews,many grand nieces and nephews. Sister of the late Olivia E. Hedges
