Obituary

Barbara L. (Somaruga) Copeland, age 71, of Brockton, died October 28, 2013 at New England Sinai Hospital following a period of failing health. She was the wife of George T. Copeland for 35 years. Born in Brockton and raised in Bridgewater she was the daughter of the late Louis and Mary I. (Giovanoni) Somaruga.

Barbara was a graduate of Bridgewater High School, and had been employed as a certified nursing assistant at New England Sinai Hospital for 18 years and the Guardian Nursing Home for five years. She had also been employed by Barbour Welt Company for many years.
Barbara enjoyed concerts, watching music videos, camping in Vermont and New Hampshire and vacations to Cape Cod, the Bahamas and Disney World.

In addition to her husband she is survived by three children and two grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Sunday 2-5 pm. Graveside services will be held in Melrose Cemetery 88 North Pearl Street (use north entrance) Brockton on Monday at 11am.
