Dole, of Brockton, December 2, 2003, Barbara A. (Oakes) Dole, 64 years. Mother of Lisa A. Akins and her husband Joseph, and Stephen M. Dole all of Brockton, Nana of Courtney and Justin Akins, and daughter of Eleanor (Livinguay) Steinberg of Brockton.

Funeral from the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Saturday at 9am. Funeral Mass in St. Colman Church at 10am. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery. Visiting Hours Friday 4-8pm. Donations may be made in Barbara’s name to Old Colony Hospice, 14 Page Terr., Stoughton, MA 02072. At Barbara’s request, no lilly’s please.

Obituary

Mrs. Dole died at the Brockton Hospital Tuesday afternoon after a brief illness. She was born in Boston, the daughter of Eleanor (Livinguay) Steinberg and the late George Oakes. She was raised in Brighton, and was a graduate of Brighton High School, class of 1956.

She had been employed in the hardware manufacturing industry for many years in customer service, for Sharon Bolt and Screw of Ashland, Hillman Fasteners of Cincinnati Ohio, and Marson Fasteners of Stoughton.

She enjoyed trips to Foxwoods and Friday night Bingo at St. Nicholas Church.

She had been a longtime communicant of St. Colman Church.

She is survived by one son Stephen M. Dole of Brockton, one daughter Lisa A. Akins of Brockton, two grandchildren her mother Eleanor (Livinguay) Steinberg of Brockton, and several nieces and nephews.
